We are pleased to announce that LSP Developments have been appointed to develop the much needed Lower Heathcote Local Centre, which will be situated adjacent to the Heathcote Primary School, at the junction of Harbury Lane/Vickers Way.
On the Location Plan, you will see the Local Centre site in the context of its surroundings. When considering the uses for the scheme, we have looked at what is already provided for in the area and what is required. Nearby there are sport and gym facilities, community halls at St. Chad’s Centre and Warwick Gates, retirement living and we understand the Warwick Gates GP surgery is due to be extended with 6 more consulting rooms, to allow for all the new residents in the area. Immediate convenience retail provision in the area is limited, likewise there is a shortage of nursery places and care home bed spaces.
On the south western side of the wider development is the proposed Tach Brook Country Park which will provide 56 hectares of green space; a haven of wildlife and biodiversity for the community to enjoy.
