LSP were appointed by competitive tender to work as development partner to Central and Eastern Cheshire PCT to provide a major new primary care ‘Health and Wellbeing Centre’.

A 2.5 acre site was identified early within the process, which funder and landlord, Assura Property Limited acquired to safeguard the opportunity, despite PCT funding having not been committed and without knowing the outcome of the public consultation.

The development provides a new ‘state of the art’, one-stop primary health facility for Crewe. It focuses on the reprovision of three town centre practices, having a patient population in excess of 36,000. The centre is fully integrated, incorporating PCT services, Community Café and Pharmacy, to improve the patient experience. Assura Property have provided 15% expansion space, both future proofing the building and facilitating Practice Based Commissioning.
