Positive Planning News

September 30, 2011

LSP are pleased to announce planning has been granted on their schemes in Willington, Huthwaite and Redditch.

Willington was a joint planning application in conjunction with Hanson for a new doctors surgery, together with pharmacy and 52 residential units at Willington, South Derbyshire. It is envisaged the development of the surgery will commence in Spring 2012, once the S106 agreement has been resolved.

LSP’s Huthwaite Medical Centre Planning Application was granted consent by Ashfield District Council on 20th September 2011. The new centre to be built at 127 Sutton Road in Huthwaite, Nottinghamshire will re-provide much needed premises for the Huthwaite Medical Practice who are currently housed in old premises on New Street. There will also be a larger pharmacy which has a direct link into the new surgery. Construction is planned to commence around March 2012 with completion early 2013.

The planning application for the reprovision of Church Hill District Centre in Redditch is a Joint Venture with Bellway Homes. Church Hill is one of the largest wards in Redditch and the existing District Centre is tired and has been set as a priority by the Council for reprovision and acts as a test case for other centres within the borough. The new centre will be developed in two phases, LSP undertaking the Neighbourhood Centre, which will incorporate a range of neighbourhood shops anchored by McColls, in conjunction with the reprovision of Church Hill Medical Centre at first floor level. The second phase will be undertaken by Bellway who will provide 51 new residential units for Accord Housing Association. It is envisaged that works will start on site in January 2012.
