LSP, in conjunction with Assura have gone unconditional on the Gelligaer Medical Centre scheme which is being developed on behalf of Aneurin Bevan Health Board, following support by the Welsh Assembly Government.
Opco have been appointed as the building contractor, having a wealth of experience in building primary care schemes throughout Wales with the new facility is programmed to be completed by May 2012.
The new surgery comprises 685 sqm (NIA) of GMS space, together with 71 sqm of Health Trust space, with the clinical accommodation provided at ground floor and predominantly admin space at first floor level. There is an area of 25 sqm of future expansion space. 19 car spaces will also be provided.
