LSP secured the project by competitive tender to work as 3PD development partner to South Staffordshire PCT to provide a new Primary Care Centre in an area suffering social deprivation, focusing specifically on community health needs.
The PCT secured a former community school site in the heart of Stapenhill and have leased the same back to LSP’s investment partner Assura Property Limited on a long ground lease, enabling Assura to fund the development, whilst also providing the PCT with a revenue stream.
The design of the Health Centre is such that it enables a high degree of flexibility, providing for a range of multi-function rooms, which are not labelled, so that they can provide for a variety of services on a sessional basis. The facility also includes NHS dentistry, a County Council funded Children’s Centre and expansion space, to complete this much needed community based Primary Care Centre.
